The drag and drop feature is implemented for table listing in Joomla backend by Joomlashine team.
Please login
joomla30.joomlashine.com/administrator

and try some listing as Articles or Banner to test this feature.
Also, the context menu for each item is a new cool feature.

Drag and drop doesn't work back there unfortunately in article manager. It does in category manager though! I like how that operates. Great job! The only thing I wonder is if you can use dots rather than lines to indicate the level deepness. Some categories look like they are the same level deep when they aren't. With dots or something, I can count the number of dots to see how many levels deep it is.

Will it be possible in the category manager to drag categories outside their parent? Or will that always have to be done by having to go to edit screen of that category and changing it's parent manually?

Can there be options to turn certain columns off in the backend under article and category manager, like language? It takes up screen space and it is useless in most sites.

You must select the Ordering to use drag and drop on article.

Yes that works, but I don't understand how anyone would know to do that? I think that is a bad mistake, plus I may want to order things while in another view, like 'sort table by category'. This is not intuitive to do it the way it currently is and I will get asked all the time by my clients how to re-order. It seems it should be intuitive. Can you please consider having that turned on all the time? 3.0 should be as user friendly as possible.

Care to explain? The only way to drag and drop the items is if you choose 'sort by ordering'. Otherwise, there is no way to move the items around.
