Joomla do not have the option modules that are seen only for guests, has public, registered and special but also very necessary that you have the option to only guests, and that when a member are login does not see the module.

Now we should also have default can login with email or phone number

Another important feature is the to be able to off-line component individually rather than the entire site.

Joomla don't support a "public only" role as default. That should be done.

It is perfectly possible to create modules for unregistered users only since Joomla 1.6. It is documented in the wiki and on several blogs including my own docs.joomla.org/ACL_Tutorial_for_Joomla_...nu_Items_and_Modules

I know. In Joomla 2.8 (maybe exists before) there is an option for guest access in the user options called Guest User Group.

@Adrian that is only setup for you if you install the sample data. Otherwise you have to follow the wiki to set it up for yourself
